How Oraxis works

From manufacturer manual to verified competence

Five steps take a vessel from manuals in a cabinet to crew who are trained, assessed and recorded on the equipment they actually use.

  1. 01

    Manufacturer manuals

Upload the manuals for the equipment fitted to each vessel. We build a searchable manual library, and every course links back to the manual pages it was built from.

  2. 02

    AI-assisted training generation

Oraxis turns each manual into structured Operation and Maintenance courses with quizzes. Courses are sized to the manual, skip installation content, and long manuals are split into parts.

  3. 03

    Qualified technical review

Every course is reviewed by a qualified marine engineer side by side with the source manual. Each safety warning is checked individually and every review is recorded in an audit trail.

  4. 04

    Crew assessments

Crew complete their job role pathway in the app, online or offline at sea. Assessments need 80% to pass. Practical, instructor-led sessions are signed off on board with photo and video evidence.

  5. 05

    Training passport

Each crew member builds a verified record of the equipment they are trained and assessed on, ready for audits, inspections and vessel moves, and receives a certificate when their job role pathway is complete.

Designed for life at sea

Signal is patchy, crews rotate and equipment changes. Oraxis lets crew download their training and complete it offline, lets heads of department sign off practical sessions on board, and syncs everything when the vessel is back in range.
